Rainy Day Activities in Ocean City, MD

Bars & Restaurants

Ocean City, MD is the place to go for bars and restaurants. Escape the rain and enjoy a tasty breakfast downtown at Casita Linda, where you’ll find authentic specialties, coffees, and baked goods. In town for the weekend with a group of friends? Go for a relaxed brunch with a bay view at Fagers Island. If you’re staying on the boardwalk, try Franco’s Pizza & Bar, which has pizza, entrees, and a kids’ menu!

Arcades & Games

Families will have a blast at Old Pro Golf playing indoors at one of the multiple locations, like Undersea Adventure at 68th Street or Safari Village on 136th Street. Enjoy Alley Oops arcade games at midtown and uptown locations. Play arcade games and bowling, have lunch or a drink, and check out the shark tank! For an adult night out, head just out of town to Ocean Downs Casino, where you’ll find slots, table games, and races. Open all day and throughout the night from 8 AM to 2 PM.

Shops

Head to the Outlets at Ocean City and check out surf shops like K Coast and Chauncey’s. Find candles, flowers, and home goods at Innerbloom, or grab a rainy day read and a bottle of wine at the Buzzed Word.

Museums

Learn about the history of Ocean City and the role of the United States Life-Saving Service at the OC Life Saving Station at the southern end of the boardwalk by the inlet. New exhibits feature rich coastal history and programs for adults and kids. Nearby on the boardwalk, find Ripley’s Believe It or Not! and Ripley’s Marvelous Mirror Maze. Get curious and have some fun with the bizarre and weird odditorium. Or, head uptown to check out the beautiful bayside location of the Art League of OC and join in for a painting class or pottery class.
